This is an attractive and comprehensive 118 page SRA4 atlas of Australia featuring GPS friendly mapping by Hema. It is divided into States and the pages are colour coded for ease of use. Each section starts of with a distance chart for major towns within the State. The mapping is clear and concise and the scale varies between 1:270 000 and 1:2 300 000 depending on population density. There are street plans for larger cities and throughroad maps to help you navigate your way around them. The maps are labelled with fuel stops, rest areas, points of interest and much other useful information. The back of the atlas has maps showing routes suitable for 4WD with an even more comprehensive legend showing such locations as ‘Royal Flying Doctor Base’! In the front of the atlas there are 5 pages of National Parks listed by State with a key to let you know what facilities are available (camping, barbecue, toilets, showers, drinking water, trails, 4WD etc).
