Ordnance Survey's 1:25 000 Scale Colour Raster (OS 25K Raster) is backdrop map data of the popular OS Explorer Map series for outdoor activities.

It provides a scanned image of OS Explorer Map that can be used with other data in a geographical information system (GIS) to visualise your own information within a geographical context.

Access areas as defined by the Countryside Agency under the Countryside Rights of Way Act 2000 are depicted on 1:25 000 Scale Colour Raster which together with the fence-level detail and depiction of contours makes the product particularly useful for analysing data in rural areas. For example, overlaying your own information onto a backdrop of 1:25 000 Scale Raster map data enables you to view the extent of countryside access to plan routes for navigation aids.

1:25 000 Scale Colour Raster is supplied in a range of delivery options and is fully compatible with other Ordnance Survey digital data.
