These maps utilise a cylindrical equal area projection (Don't switch off!) This represents countries in their correct proportional size, something that a lot of maps do not do. It achieves this by sacrificing shape, particularly in the areas closest to the poles. The result is an alternative and thought-provoking vision of our planet. Colour: Colour is graded through countries and continents to remove the abrupt border lines of more traditional designs.
Printing: The map is litho-printed on to a coated, silk finish paper with special colours, including silver metallic for the seas. The print is finished with a sealer to protect the inks and a gloss UV varnish applied to the landmasses for contrast.
Details: Country boundaries, capital and major cities, rivers, highest peaks, sea depths, north/south pole projections and a shaded physical relief layer.
At 2 x 1 metres this is one of the biggest single sheet size available in The World!
