Philip's is one of Britain's oldest publishing houses and now forms part of the Octopus Publishing Group. The company was originally founded in 1834 as George Philip and Son and was, at one time, the owner of the famous "Stanfords" map store. Philip's has long been a name associated with mapping, having produced historical and long term market leaders such as the classic Philip's Modern School Atlas, now in its 95th edition.
